Mysterious black Verticle Line - 3/8/2002 10:53:44
I have a mysterious black line showing up on my web page

http://www.springmeadownursery.com/

I have no idea where is comes from, possible my shared border?

Any ideas how i can rid my page of this darn thing?

I saw this in your source code. It doesn't seem to be serving any purpose but to make a black vertical line 18 pixels tall and one non breaking space wide.

<table height="0" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="0" width="0%" bgColor="#000000" border="0">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td width="100%" height="18"> </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

Thanks Tom,

That line has been driving me crazy. ( I just learned today where my shared file code is hidden)

I want to sell you how much I love the outfront sites. As I said in a previous post I'm a Horticulurist and not a webmaster. Outfront has made using FP a lot of fun.

Everyone is helpful and kind, and never do they make me feel like the idiot that I am.

Thanks for all you and your members do. It is greatly appreciated!

Tim

Hi Tim,
I just looked at your site with XP, IE 6.0, modem 28.8 at 56K and resolution of 800 X 600.

The black line is gone, but I did get a left/right scroll bar at the bottom of the page.

As to the "idiot that I am", I think most members would admit that feeling is what resulted in our becoming members here. Keep in mind that you're not an idiot because you don't know something, but you are an idiot if you make the assumption you can figure it out on your own without the help of others. I'm a part of the automotive industry and teamwork is key to our daily operations. Its amazing as to how a different perspective can solve a problem. So too as to these forums.

John
