Colour Schemes review - 3/12/2002 4:17:26
Comments appreciated on these sites
they are hobby sites only for computer golf tours, not too many graphics yet as I am rejigging those.

The small font is really hard to read, even at 800 x 600 res. Other than that, nice.

I waited 15 seconds on DSL for each of the three sites to come up and nothing did.

Is there some kind of server maintenance going on? I tried going to just http://www.bombersgolf.com/ and waited quite some time on high speed connection and never seen more than a gray background.

Sorry guys, yes, I believe theyve been having problems with the server some kind of memory leak so I assume it was down when you looked ... damn it.

Working now. First impression is nice and professional looking. Some will find it difficult to read such small text. And instead of bolding links on mouseover, would recomend a color change instead. Bolding makes all the other links hop around which can be annoying.

Frames can be a problem for search engines and cause problems with bookmarking pages. And some people just choose to turn frames off.

I do like the look of them very much though.

I agree about the small text and bolding on mouseover. (Makes me queasy). I didn't like the grey background and I really hate text links within a paragraph. I keep thinking I'm supposed to leave the middle of a paragraph to follow a link, and then I wonder why the rest of the paragraph is even there if I'm not supposed to read it. It's all too confusing for me. I really didn't like Arnie's face sticking out on the first one's graphic. I looked at all three and realized it would take me too long to figure out what the sites were so I figure I'm not your target audience. Though I am an avid golfer and attend tour events.
