Phrase question - 4/9/2001 20:52:00
In a site that I recently built, a client has commented that he would prefer to have a certain page in "point format".

I have never heard this phrase before and rather than look totally unprofessional infront of him, I wondered if anyone could enlighten me?!!

Thanks.

to be honest you shouldnt feel unprofessional infront of a client if you dont know what they mean, cos if a client doesnt know too much about the web they dont know all the correct technical terms so say what they think is the right (but is often wrong). does he/she mean a size of font or something like that? thats the only thing i can think of

Hi - thanks for your reply.

Yes, the font size was the only thing I could think of too.

If this term doesn't jump to mind as being obvious with anyone else then I will go back and ask. As you say, they are probably using a phrase that they think is correct. I just wanted to make sure first,as sometimes you get clients that like to show you their knowledge and get a bit "techie" with you!!

Thanks again,

Regards,

Dawn.

Dawn

I think what thay mean is that instead of having a paragrah of text you siply give them the page in a series fo points EG
-point 1
-point2
-point3

That is what point format is.....
