swish - 3/16/2002 22:20:59
I am trying to insert a swish file into my web in place of a swish that came in a template that I bought. I replaced the file name in the active x properties box when you right click the existing swish with the new swish file name. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi KMC

Try the plugins instead of Active X for adding Swish.

Also is it the right swish file ?? must have the .swf extension not the swi.

INSERT > ADVANCED > PLUGIN

Throw in your swish and adjust the default 128 pix size to what suits.

OK ...........I'm on 2K.....
THrowing out a life line here...anyone.

KMC I'm sure it hasnt changed much, dig around, and do not forget the extra drop down for little used components in each dropdown menu.
PLUGIN was next to ACTIVE X, JAVA APPLET etc

OK Garry,
Thanks a bunch got it in there, now I can't figure out how to stop it from looping. I looked at the file and it says that it is not suppose to loop.

That bit is back in SWiSH & will take me 20 mins of trial & error to remember but it is to do with your last frame and inserting an action to Stop .

but try http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=282350 once in you wont leave for a few hours.
This thread is a bit useless, however other looping ones farther back are common.

<EDIT ....Here is a better one http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=281113

We also had a swish loop Q here a few months back.

Where do I add the stop action? Does it go with on Release, Roll over, etc.?
