Josh -> What will my site look like?? (3/17/2002 21:46:20)

I'm aware that each browser will show a web site it's own specific way. But there are so many different browsers out there, how is it possible to keep my site at least presentable in each one? Is there kind of an industry standard browser that you guys look at and take in to consideration? Or do we just design it the best we know how and pray that it will come out clean and crisp on all browsers(the impossible?). I made sure that I used tables and the such when designing my web, but that doesn't always seem to be the ticket. I viewed my site at http://anybrowser.com, god forbid that others are seeing my site like this!
My site, http://www.bookjoint.com

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Josh

One thing I can tell you is that when you design a site. Make sure that you check in 2 main browsers. IE & NN If those two can view your site good. Then you are save to say any browsers out there will view it pretty much the same.

With all the changes happening right now in the browser world, I'd make sure that you check in these four main browsers...

IE 5+
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/ie6/default.asp

NN 4+
http://www.netscape.com/computing/download/

Opera 5+

Mozilla 0.9+

Here is a good overview of the 17 players in the market right now...
