I would get rid of the italics on the sales page to make the site uniform. Loads quick. Rangler Anyone know where I can get my black & white TV fixed? <edit> You an Art Bell fan? http://ArtBell.com </edit> Edited by - Rangler on 03/19/2002 13:26:58

I would suggest making the background on all of your graphics transparent if possible. The main logo is ok, but the backgrounds of two graphics on the sides of the main logo need to be transparent.

Hi Montine, Looked at your site with XP, IE 6.0, 28.8 on 56K modum and resolution of 800 X 600. All pages loaded instantly - great job! If its within your control to change, I recommend not listing the customer service page until you have something to offer: http://www.hytechpetroleum.com/servicepage.htm Almost forty years in business (middle-level manager) has taught me that you show your strengths, and not your weaknesses to your customers. That is, at least offer an e-mail address and telephone number with something to the effect of: "We value your feedback as to how we may increase our service to you. Please contact us at: etc." To me at least, asking for the customers' patience indicates that the company is trailing the pack and not leading it. Also important to remember that the company must be willing to react to the responses. As meaningless as a copyright is on the Internet, I'd suggest that you change it to 2002. Hope this helps, John Age is a high price to pay for maturity.

These are great critiques! I'll be making changes so feel free to check back and re-critique. One thing, though... quote: As meaningless as a copyright is on the Internet, I'd suggest that you change it to 2002.
Please explain to me how a copyright is meaningless on a website? Montine

Hi Montine, Just about anything you post on the Internet can be copied. There are laws covering Internet copyrights: http://www.loc.gov/copyright/ but how do you enforce them? Jane Smith likes your pictures so she right-clicks, saves them and subsequently posts them on her site. John Doe likes your poem so he saves it and posts his name as the author. For an interesting, but rather dry, afternoon of reading, go to a search engine such as www.google.com and enter: "Copyright Laws Internet" as your search. You'll find that legally there is protection, but in reality it is impossible. John Age is a high price to pay for maturity.
