WinSave Hosting Service - 3/23/2002 3:38:26
Has anyone used or is using HostSave? Just curious if any can give me a clue in on them!

I need a web host that will offer me large bandwith, 24/7, "REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE," have my own cgi-bin, FP extensions...and inexpensive....Basically everything for next to nothing!

Suggestions welcomed!! Thanks!!

I use hostsave for two sites. So far no problems. (one year) Tech service is by e-mail and usually answered in one day. They had a recent DoS attack and resolved it in 6 hours or so and I was notified by a posting on their site of that attack. Their site did not go down during the attack but I could not update web for six hours. I can live with that. I did not loose any data.
They have extensions for FP2002 and you can do the extensions yourself from their control panel.
Your subject line says winsave. Is that an error?

No, I mean WinSave. HostSave is their sister company. I initially signed up with them and was very unhappy with their service. I'm glad though that they have taken care of you!
Thanks for your reply!!

Whatever you do, unless you have some specific need for a windows-based server, get an Apache/Linux based arrangement. They are much more reliable and FP extensions are very stable and if they go down you can go in and make corrections from the control panel in most cases.
