pop up - 3/24/2002 16:22:17
I'm trying to figure out how to install a "pop up" banner. That's probably not the correct name which may explain why I can't find anything in a manual on how to do it. It's one of those smaller web windows that open automatically when you visit a site or particular page. They seem to be a page or web unto them selves and can be closed like any other window, by clicking on the x in the top right corner. This would be something separate from the banner I already run through the banner ad manager. Any help would be apppreciated. Thanks

Front Page software is not set up to create pop up windows as delivered. There is an excellent set of Front Page extensions called J-Bots. They are reasonably priced and reasonably reliable. They install in your pull down menu, and the "floating window" function opens a window where you can set the properties of the pop up, how long it stays up, what size, what menu bars, etc. Not entirely bug free, but what is. I am quite fond of the J-Bots extensions and find most of them quite useful. Hope that helps. Mark flynn
mflynn@mineun.com
www.mineun.com

Thanks for the information. Could you tell me where I might be able to get these extensions?
