Unusual Form Errors - 3/25/2002 20:50:10
Hello everyone! I've been working with Front Page since 1996. I've probably built over 200 forms along with custom confirmation pages.

Since upgrading to FP2002 we've been having problems with certain forms in our webs. The ones that are saving to the _private in both .htm and .txt formats are returning errors now until we reset the extensions for that site.

The errors are undefined, your standard report this problem to the webmaster thing so we cannot pinpoint the issue, even when looking at the errors on the server side.

After investigating other forms that have been performing without fail, we noticed one consistent theme amongst them. The ones failing were saving to two file formats; .htm and .txt. The ones functioning without fail were saving to one file format; .htm.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what was your solution?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

P.S. The sites in question are also still running the FP2000 extensions for reasons outside of this issue. There seems to be a problem with includes and FP2002 extensions. You end up with dup content. That's another topic in itself.

Many probs with 2002 extensions. Sounds like a "bug". Have you tried MS?
