I use FP2000 on Win98. It seems I have PWS installed (when I look at Windows Setup it's included) but there's no icon, nothing in my Start menu & I don't know where to find it. Do I need it running to write ASP? How do I 'turn it on?' I have Front Page extensions running on my PC - does that have anything to do with anything? Additionally, in FP when I locate Folder Properties, the box for Allowing Scripts to be Run is grayed out. I am SO confused that I just don't know where to start. Can anyone help? Thanks SO much!

Hi Penny,
To be honest, I've never seen the PWS as I'm using win2k & XP mostly. If it's anything like mine, you'll find the PWS manager app in the control panel.

If it weren't for pick-pockets, I'd have no sex life at all!

I finally figured it out. I 'unchecked' the PWS that Windows Setup said was there so it removed whatever files there were. Then I downloaded PWS (which confused the dickens out of me because it alluded primarily to NT but off-handedly mentioned Win95, no comment about 98 tho). Installed it and it's running. I got some error messages about Microsoft Transaction Server not properly installed but am hoping I don't need those functions. (Will cross that bridge later if need be.) Thanks SO much for your help. My initial concern was that I had it running and didn't know it or just didn't know how to start it. Feel kind of silly, but these computers will do that to us, won't they?
