Bicknell -> timed out message (3/31/2002 7:57:13)

I am having trouble opening subwebs from the server. Using Win 2000 server. Get timed out message. It all used to work (sigh..) Everything was shifted onto new server and new software late last year and now none of my primary school's 15 intranet sub-webs are accessible except from the server machine. I have no problems with permissions. My technical 'spert suggests vaguely that it could be file names that are too long. Ideas?
