nowlkldy Posts: 1393 From: Topeka, Kansas Status: offline	Deleting Cells - 4/9/2001 16:43:00 With a computer in my hands, I become a dangerous person. I'm trying to delete a cell. Rightclicking on it brings up the box but no command to "delete cell". Further, I've discovered that "delete cells" and "merge cells" on my toolbar are greyed out. Same holds true for "delete tables". What the heck did I do wrong? Dave

You probably just need to actually highlight the cell, the right click and tada! delete cells.

Guest	RE: Deleting Cells - 4/9/2001 22:31:00 Mystic, you're a stitch! Dave, with tables, it has to be selected before you can do anything. From the menu bar: Table/Select/Table,row, or cell. There is also a table toolbar. No, you did not break it! (in reply to nowlkldy)

You can also click on the border of the cell with the black arrow thingy, but it's often more of a magic trick to get it to actually work.

Thanks guys. I finally just figured a way to delete the whole table and started over.

And now, I quote from MS FP2000 Help menu:
"To delete a cell, select the cell(s), right click and then click 'delete cells' from the shortcut menu." Well I'm here to tell you that God and everyone can come to Topeka, USA and look at my copy of FP and there ain't no such command in the shortcut menu.

Damn, where's my abacus?????
