where did my new page go???? - 8/23/2001 13:36:00
Hi, Yesterday at work I created a new page for my employer's site on FP2000. This AM he had me check his home computer where he has FP2002 installed and I see two problems: 1)when I click on page view - no pages are displayed- yet if I click on the folders the pages are displayed 2)the page I created is not listed - it is like it does not exist- and yes- I have checked it is one the website-published- and when I got to work it is listed in my page view right where it belongs. Help Please!!! Thank you.

Do you have a URL we can look at? It might help if we can see the site. This one has me scratching my head. Swirl ------------------ Diplomacy is the art of letting someone have your way.

Swirl- I figured it out myself last night- and boy am I a dummy. First of all, I needed to "refresh" Front Page on my employer's computer- once I refreshed it the new page appeared...I found that out by going through Front Page Help...that if you are working off more than one computer, you might need to refresh it to update the pages....Secondly, he must have clicked the "Folder List" that is under View- Even though we were in the page view, by clicking off of Folder List- it removes the list of folders- one quick click and they re-appear... thank you, for taking the time to answer me..I am such a newbie- I would be lost without this board.[This message has been edited by 2wishful (edited 08-24-2001).]

You're very welcome 2wishful. Glad you figured it out. I thought of that, but figured it was too "simple" of an answer. Guess nothing is "simple" when it doesn't work. Thank you for your kind words Michelle. This community is all about people helping people, all we ask is that you stay around long enough to share what you have learned with someone else. Good luck!
