I agreen with the above, however the #2 logo on link #2 is pretty good too... and the logo's on link #2 could be used in a variety of colors for different pages or content...

Nice design work...

I agree that both are well conceived. However, graphic number two [B&W] is much easier to read, at first glance, IMHO. In other words I had to stop and focus on graphic number one, to determine its message.

Image 1 on link 1 has my vote too. The B/W logo is a bit easier to read, but it is not as "eye-catching" as the other one.
