removing the background of an image - 4/6/2002 20:06:14
Hi,

How do I remove the transparent background of a gif in FW4?

I need to place the text on a blue background (same color as the web page)

Thank you
Herman

Click modify, then canvas color, then the custom box. Then you can use the dropper to sample the color you want from another graphic or enter in the colors hex code.

Thanks a lot Richard,

One more question (if you don't mind):
How can I get rid of the shadow effect in the banner on: www.ihost-websites.com/goldenwomb

Kind Regards,
Herman

If you don't have the original .png file for it, I think you will have a tough time getting any quality results removing it. Probably better off starting over from scratch.

Thank you - that's what I thought.

I appreciate your time spent.
