Word art is definately not recomended. I don't think word art can be viewed by folks without word, and the file sizes are usually pretty huge. What you might try is right clicking the graphic save as, .bmp. Then open the bitmap in a good graphics program to optimize it and save as .gif.

Richard is right on... I used Word Art for the "under contruction" screen at a site I did last year and the results we not so good. I displayed fine on the PC I built the site one, not so good on my home PC and not at all on my customer's PC. I'm not sure if you can save Word Art as something else, but Microsoft Image Composer can do wonders with text and is included with FP 2000 for free (my favorite price!)

Good luck!
