Errors using F´P-extensions to publish - 4/11/2002 9:20:06
Hi,
I am running a site with IIS5.0 with FP-Extensions installed.
When i client are trying to publish with FP2000, it sometimes stops
responding for a long time, and then fails with the message 'unknown
response from server' some other times (when the site is small), it seems to
finish, but fails with the response ' The server has send a response,
unknown to FrontPage, contact the administrator and ask him to make sure the
FP-Extensions are installed correctly.'
If the user opens the (ONLINE) web-site in Frontpage, he can edit whatever he want's
Does anyone know what's wrong here.
Btw. the errormessages are translated from national language - so the may
differ from the actual errormessages on a english/US Frontpage

It sounds like you are publishing through a firewall. That's what causes that response.
You may be able to set your firewall to allow publishing through it.
