Word Art in FP 2002 not showing up - 4/16/2002 18:22:25
Hi...
I know most FP users dont use the wordart function...but it shows up fine in all my sites on computers all over the world ...but my problem is that it doesnt show up on my system. It shows up in the creation mode....after I publish then it doesnt show up when I go to the URL.
I did get a dialog box once that told me to download something to see it...but I accidently clicked it off and now I cant see my published wordart.
Does anybody know what file I need to DL and where??

Hey Tom....
I found out I need some sort of VML file to view on my computer. It was there and it disappeared :( Know where I can DL??...I cant seem to find anything on net or Outfront.

That web page looks fine to me. I assume ChicagoVideoProduction.com is the word art? It looks good.

yes it is word art. HOwever...
I must have deleted some file that makes it show up in my browsers (IE)...Shows up fine when composing....where do I find a VML file so I can see it in my browser????

I have no idea. Maybe reinstall FP? Maybe search for *.vml? Maybe reinstall IE?

I had a look at the site and here's what I come up with:
IE6 on Win2000Pro it showed up fine. NN 4.7, NN6.2 and Opera 6.01 would not display it.
IE 5.5 on Win98SE automatically prompted for the VML download (Internet Explorer Install on Demand), but never got it. Both versions of Netscape and Opera again failed to display it.
Perhaps creating an image of the effect would serve you better, and allow ALL visitors to see it.

Thank you for the responses....I have found out that somewhere I lost a VML file to display in my system....so I re-installed IE 6.0 and it solved the problem.
However, I think I better create a .gif file for that art if it is not showing up in all the other browsers :(
