Ok I made an icon for my site that is supposed to show up when people bookmark my site. I put the icon in the root diretory and in every other folder. (just to make sure lol) But I cant seem to get it to show up on my end. I get the same 'ol ie page icon. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to bookmark your site for it to show up. There's other ifs, ands and buts listed at www.favicon.ico . Good luck with it!

Favicons are not very reliable. I have a favicon in my root directory but it has yet to work! My advice: Leave it if you want to. It doesn't take up much space. But don't have very high expectations that it will always work!
