Problem: Emailing form results - 4/22/2002 11:56:46

I could use some confirmation to what I hope I've found as a solution to a problem I've been having.

I want submitted form results emailed to particular individuals. They don't receive my test submissions. Could this be because I haven't saved the submit button in the Form properties dialog box? My theory is that the BI submit button must be saved.

Form properties > options > Saved Fields > Form fields to save

Another thought is that the problem could reside with their ISP. The three people who are not receiving form submissions all use the same ISP.

Any insights would be appreciated.

As always, thanks, Gail

First question - does it submit to your email address?

Yes, but not always. I'm assuming the improvement is due to my very recent thinking of the "Form field to save." Initially I actually went in and removed the Submit entry. No technical reason to do this; just didn't like looking at it on the reply email.

I have no trouble sending and receiving regular email to these same three individuals. And since as far as I know form mail isn't viewed as spam, I'm perplexed as to why the mail might be blocked if this is indeed what's happening.

For the email addresses that do work, I don't receive a reply when filling out a form using Netscape. IE is okay.

Are the email form replies just another FrontPage feature that does not work with Netscape?

Thanks, Gail
