Visitors to unknown pages - 4/10/2001 16:05:00
I use Urchin tracking with my Earthlink account which reports three type of pages I don't recognize in pageviews, entry, and exit pages. Since they represent a significant amount of activity on my site, maybe someone can tell me what they are. I see: /fphover.class, /fphoverx.class, and /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe files. I'm concerned that visitors are accessing the pages, not seeing what they expect, and immediately exiting, and all of these files are top entry/exit pages. Earthlink support said they were "a tracking mechanism of FrontPage. Please refer to FrontPage documentation for more information on these files". Can anyone tell me what's up?

Hi Ron

Those are files in hidden folders that FP needs for your hover buttons, etc. each time a page is called that uses hover buttons, the program is called and run.

Hope this helps.
