using a form - 4/26/2002 16:09:13
i have inputted a form, and some text boxes in so that visitors write their impression for the site. When you write something and click "submit', a blank page appears saying "thank you for submitting". How can i make the messages submitted be displayed under the text box that visitors write the message?

Rather than the default, create your own and assign it to a form.

In page view, click the New Page button.
On the page, type the text you want to display after the site visitor has submitted the form.
To display info back to the visitor from the forms fields:

Place the cursor where you want to display the text.
On the Insert menu, choose Component, and then click Confirmation Field.
In the Name of the form field to confirm box, type the name of the field from which to display info, and then click OK.
Note that the field is displayed in brackets. When the confirmation form is displayed to the visitor, the field will display the site visitor's entry.
Repeat for each field to be displayed.
Then click save.
Thpe the URL and the page title, and click save.
To assign the confirmation page to the form, open the page containing your form.
Right-click the form, and click Form Properties on the menu.
Click Options, and Confirmation Page tab.
In the URL of confirmation page box, type the name and location of the confirmation page you just created, or click Browse to find it.

Test by previewing in Browser.

Enjoy! It's your endeavor!
