Let's wrap this up now, OK?

To put it simply.

Not you, nor I are going to change our lives, our clothing, our attitudes, our websites, what we eat,
our address or just about anything else, because it irrititates, someone we've never met, that's on the other side of the Planet...

There is not much point, in going on with this!

Most eveyone is now aware just who can't stand me, like I said no one rally cares,
This has become just something to pass the time.

Let's go back to web design, All of you that choose help me, Thanks in advance, everyone else, No problem here.

Bye for now, Robert

Yes Robert - I was being honest. I was afraid (or reluctant) to post because of how I have seen you attack other people who posted.

Most people offer helpful suggestions or critiques. Most people thank the people for their suggestions. Whether the use them or not is up to the person who asked for the opinion.

You however have made it an argument. I have enough stress in my life without going out of my way to ask for it. This is just MY opinion.

Erin

I sincerly apologize, Erin...

I had no idea that anyone was in fear,
From my point of view, it was self defense on my part, I feel that I wrote nothing but the truth.

Just take out a mental eraser and delete me, OK...

it's time to end this thread...

I won't be answering unless it pertinent.

Thanks to everyone that contributed,

Adios, Robert

I am new to this thread, but I read the whole thing.

First of all, the unpertinent stuff:

"Can't we all just get along!"

Next, the site critic:

Chinese medicine page- the background where your links are is a different color than it is on the home page. There are also some broken image links.

Best hotel deals in Asia page- Same as above, plus, the name of the page, Planet Holiday, doesn't seem to go along with the content of the page.

Beijing page- Broken image link

Beijing Hotels page- Broken image link, also something I just noticed here, it may be the same on the earlier pages, but the navigation indicator that you have says accomidations, not Beijing hotels.

Chamber of commerce page- it is named Hotel Booking, plus the background of the links section is a different from the home page.

Chinese phrases page- Link background again. Broken image links. Also, and this is just my personal preference, you might want to consider putting the phrases into a table so they are lined up with their chinese equivalent. That would, however, make a very large table, which would slow down the load time of the page. Just something you may want to consider.

map of china- Link background, and broken image links.

China notes- Link background and broken image links.

Consumer rights- Link background. I see on this page that you have changed the visited links color. I like that, you should do it on the rest of the pages. Perhaps you are working on the site now?

Custom law- Link background and broken image links

Common cold- Link background and broken image links. Also 404 error on 5 elements and Prescription links

Currency Converter- Link background area.

That is all i can look at now. Perhaps I will have time later...

BTW, lest there be any misunderstanding, the yawn was not directed at you, Mr. Lab Rat. In fact, that was probably one of the most thorough site critiques I've ever seen. Bravo!

Albino...

Your critique, is a superb exhibit of excellence!
Your professionalism should be considered a benchmark.

Ther is no adequate way to thank you, through this keyboard!

But,I can offer you my admiration and gratitude...

Your observations have been copied and will be used as a workboard, which will return some order to my tasks correcting this site.

This is a new site and in the final draft.

Your input will help a great deal toward achiving the excellence that I am looking for in the finished product.

I'm well aware of the time that it took for you to do this.

Your unmet friend, Robert

Thank all, I am just trying to help.

Now, back to the critique...

By the way, I have IE 6.0 and 1024 x 768

Embassies page- Maybe call it "Embassies A-P". Just a thought. Also the area that the links are in has a different background than the homepage. Also, there are some broken image links. I also noticed the back to top buttons that you used, and I think they look very nice. However, I am not sure that the average user would notice them. Just my opinion.

Embassies page 2- Maybe call it embassies r-z. Link background is different from the home page. Broken Image Links. Also, the back to top on this page is different than the first embassies page.

Environment- Link background and images again.

Etiquette - Link background and images. Some of the paragraphs are right justified and some are centered (starting at Family Meals).

Food- link background and images. Its all centered except for the Scented Tea section. The table that you used to align the text doesn't extend the entire width of the page. I am not sure if you will follow me on that, if not, just ask.

Links- all good except that at the bottom there is a link that says "Vacations Nearby" and you can't see the Nearby part until you notice that the Vacations part is off center and then you start looking for it. I had to highlight it in order to read it.

Great Wall- Link Background and broken images.

Hospitals and Pharmacies- Link background and broken images. Also, something I just noticed here, if you click on "Return To" in the "Return to Hompage" link, it will bookmark the site. Just my opinion, but I think more people would notice it if it was a seperate link.

Hotel Booking- perfect, but I have to ammend some stuff I said earlier. I think that the Back to Top things That I first mentioned on the Embassies page are actually supposed to be the little arrows like the one on the bottom of this page. To me, the ones I saw earlier looked like little indents in the background, but they must have been broken image links. They are just too small to have the little red x in them.

All I have time for now, maybe more later...

My essys would never have received grades better than a "C" ...

Me thinketh, that thou seeth, to mucheth!

Back to work, I just now, FTP'ed all of the edited pages to the server

Reading these posts and replies had brought me to the conclusion, it's obvious that my statement was not about any monitor, because none of them are self-proclaimed, but are here by arraingment with Mr. Brunt

It appears that some of you are involved in some misguided defense of TTerrific, also known as Terry... unaware of our cordial relationship.
Terry knows that my statemnt was to her, about traits of human personality, not about her.

In fact she has my respect, most of you don't seem to know that she is one of the few with authentic credentials,
"Certifed Webmanster"
Issued to her by Cal State, at Fullerton.

If this is what it's all about, hopefully those of you that are all riled up can calm down and review the facts.

Regards, Robert

Robert:

The first thing I thought when I saw your post was "embarassment." How dare you parade me around to back your cause! I answered your questions honestly, without touting myself as an expert, and to have you imply that I am an expert and that we have a any relationship is absurd. I just answered your emails. I was trying to defuse the situation by telling you to think nothing of it. Glad I could help a little. Boy, this is really bugging me. I try to be fair and not draw undue attention to myself. That's probably why I'm so upset. How can I show my "posts" ever again? Humor intended in some of this. Not trying to hurt feelings, but trying anyway. Why attack Thomas Brunt? This forum is terrific.

What a mind blower!

Are you sure you read my statement correctly?

I didn’t say anything about Mr. Brunt.
I don’t have a cause.
I’m not parading anyone around, where I come from; it’s called a compliment.
If the compliment is unacceptable, OK.
I said certification not expert.
I don’t need or ask for your backing or support for anything in my life.
All of the members of the forum have a relationship.
I don’t know what kind of a relationship you’ve dreamed up?
The forum sure is terrific; I’ve been a member for going on 2 years.

This statement is probably more toward the absurd, than anything that I’ve said.
”How can I show my "posts" ever again?”

OK, so you’re a likeable person, if you don’t want to have a friendly “forum based relationship” I’ll try to live with it.

Gee-whiz lighten up!

There isn’t anything at all going on, that you read into my post.

You ought to reread it or get a dictionary or something.

Not trying to hurt any feelings, but this is really dumb.

No need to be embarrassed, you didn’t bring attention you your achievements, I did.

I’ll try to stay out of your way, and let’s see if we can get over this, OK?

Bye, Robert
