Dayvud -> Why does CSS not affect h1-6 font face? (5/3/2002 1:42:19)

Style Sheets pages "fresh" from the FP 2k New Pages Style sheet library linked to some of my pages do not change the font face for my h1 through h6 styles. Other HTML elements, such as link colors, did change. 'Remove formating' did not. What do you think is up with those pesky headings? Why can not CSS re-format the headings font face? Color and size of the headings did conform to CSS, but the Ariel face will not go away?

As I said in the previous thread, you have face="Arial" in alot of your tags. That will override the CSS styles.

Hi,

Coming in the middle here, did not read your other post. What Puiwaihin stated is correct. CSS at the page level gets overridden by inline CSS or font statments for that header.

Easy way to correct, just hightlight the header line in "normal" view and then notice the font listed in the font box at the top of the FrontPage toolbar. Whatever it says the fonts is select "normal". All will be well after that point as you just undeclared (new word Brian?) your font.

In my FP 2k file, I select the text in my table's first cell. It lists as 'Heading 1' in 'Styles', 'Times New Roman' in 'Font', and 6 (24) in 'Font Size'. It shows up that way in HTML mode as well.

In FP 'Preview', both browser previews, and uploaded on server my Headings 1-6 fonts faces are Arial instead of the Times New Roman 'font family:' 'and font:'. My 'Normal'
style will not budge from its chronic Arial either.

In my current site upload, arial tags are in my HTML code. However, that is not the font face that I choose both in the external CSS anf the inline (imediate mode) css. The presence of those arial tags in the uploaded HTML are beyond my control.

I fyou are using a theme and have selected the option in the theme dialogue box that says "Apply using CSS" then unselect that option.

Applying a theme with FP css can make a mess of everything. Also make sure that you have not applied any formatting to fonts in your theme.
