WinXP Pro IIL5.1 and FP2002 - 5/4/2002 12:01:51
Could someone please walk me through setting up a very basic FP2002 website. Or is it possible to set up a home server that supports FP2002 using WinXP Pro? Are there any online sites that would provide basic info on how to do this? Thanks much.

I have XP Pro running IIS5 and running FP2002.

Send me an email and I will see if I can help you.

Gene,
Thank you very much for the offer. It's people like you that are ready to help others that make the web a great place to learn. I actually figured it out myself after tons of web searching. I was making the mistake of trying to "publish" the web site instead of just copying all the files into the root web. The following is what I did....right or wrong...and it works.

1. Loaded IIS 5.1 from disk
2. Downloaded new FP2002 extensions
3. Extended files to server using command line instructions from the net.
4. Built web in FP2002
5. Copied all files (must show hidden) to inetpup\wwwroot directory.
6. Connected to the net.
7. Found my IP address and made sure IIS was using it.
8. Put IP address in Explorer and up popped the my home page!

So how far from the "right" way was this? And now that I'm this far, anybody up for explaining subwebs!?! Thanks much.
