Vince's Drop Down Menu - 5/7/2002 2:27:51
Just got Vince’s Drop Down Menu (kind of) working in the body of a test page. Well it works when I preview in browser but not on the live site. Any idea about that?

I would like to put the menu in the top shared border. Is that possible? If I put the first part of the code in the top border file then where would I put the last part of code? I tried to put it all in the top shared border file, but it didn’t work.

Is there a beginner version of the directions? I.e. place this script in the <head>; place this code in a table cell within the body; place this code above the </body>, kind of thing.

Also, is there a way to round the corners like in the pull-out version?

Does the drop downs have to be at the top of the page? I want it at the bottom of my shared border.

Sure would appreciate answers to my questions, Thanks, MomX4

Momx4 -

I would post this in the OutFront Product Support. I know Vince & Andy are in there often. I know I have the menu on 3 sites.

Did you get an error message? Do you have the popouttext.js & virtualmenu.js on the site?

If you put the url up we could take a look at it. However I know if you post in the other forum they might have answer ASAP.

Thanks
Erin

Ok I will put it on the product support forum.

I figured out that my test wasn't working, because for some reason, the virtualmenu.js did not publish automatically, once I published that manually, my test worked, hurray!!!

Still need to know if you can use the menu in shared borders and if you can round the corners to give the boxes a more 3D effect like the pull-outs. Thanks for your help and suggestions, MomX4
