Whats a good Graphics Software for a newbie? - 5/7/2002 14:30:28
I have no graphics experience and I'm wondering which graphics software is best to start off with? I love good graphics but just not good in creating them. Any "graphics for dummies" software out there? lol

Paint Shop Pro 7 is good, very functional, inexpensive and there are tons of tutorials available on the net "My mind works like lightning. One brilliant flash and it is gone" - John W. Green

If you are using FP 2000, Image Composer comes with it. It's on the second disk. I find it very useful and easy. Photoshop seems to be the "standard" but I've never been able to get very far figuring it out, so I stick with IC. Hope this helps. Paula The more I learn the less I seem to know.

Paint Shop Pro 7 nut here. Suppose that one of these days, I may get Photoshop. Maybe. Rangler Amateurs built Noah's Ark and Professionals built the Titanic! Couldn't get my Black and White TV fixed so threw it away!

I have never used Photoshop for 2 reasons. 1. PSP7 does all I need a graphics program to do. 2. My pocketbook refuses to fork out hundreds of dollars for a program that I do not have the time to learn. Unless you are really going to devote a lot of time to learning PhotoShop, do not waste your money. Author of "How To Build A Website With Duct Tape"

Great, I am downloading Paint Shop Pro 7 now, but without DSL (unavailable in my area) it is a 4-hour thing. We had the Satellite guy here this morning but he couldn't get a signal; he will try again tomorrow; sure hope it works. Anyway, what is the best tutorial for learning PSP 7 quickly? Thanks for everything, MomX4
