Simple but OK? - 5/9/2002 16:25:38
I think this should be my flagship site as I have put most work into it...any opinions on the result?

Look after #1 and don´t step in #2.

Me too. Nice looking site (though I'm not sure about the yellow). I'm a little peeved about the "Join the party" link (didn't realize I'd been sent somewhare else). I thought it would be a good time but it asked me to join some "conservative" thingee.

Really though it looks good.

ah reckon, tharfo'e ah's, ah reckon.

Nice job, like the layout, I like the blue but as Mike I am not to sure about the yellow, but I think you want it to be the same colors that www.conservatives.com. The only suggestion is about the Euro MPs page and local government page where you have some photos in a table with blue borders, I would keep it without the borders (just me ); maybe divide them with a line, if you feel that you need to separate them.
Otherwise the website looks great.
Saludos

All the links under " Conservative Future" open in a new window. That seemed odd...

Looks nice and clean..

Thanks for the comments:
Three points:
1) I have to use the yellow because that is part of the swirl logo at the top of the page and they wanted it incorporate into the page, so obviously I needed to continue the theme.
2)The "Conservative Future" links open a new window ´cos this is effectively a different site for the young members and I want to keep viewers on the main site.
...... and 3) I AM average, I think this is just Spooky´s joke.

Look after #1 and don´t step in #2.

For what it's worth (very likely not a lot) I felt you have it the wrong way around.

In 800x600 the browser is consumed by an image, which, while very nice, tells me nothing.

The content then sat underneath that. Perhaps a little vertical trimming of the top image may not go amiss?

Piquet, I know it is just a joke (I was just joking as well). Yes you are average and probably you will jump to the next level soon. Your input to this forum its great.

I am really NEW , but I think your website looks great and although I don’t like yellow much, in combination with the blue you use on your site looks fine and as you said continues with the theme.

I believe the problem isn't so much the yellow, but that this shade of yellow seems to be irritating. If you change it slightly to something like #FFFFF40 (red 255, blue 255, green 64) it might be better?

Any links leading to pages "onsite" should open normally instead of in a new window, IMHO.

Very nice site overall.
