ellenjay -> Word wrapping in downsized windows (5/12/2002 2:22:17)
|
I have one page on my site that exhibits the following behavior: When viewed in a maximized Internet Explorer window, all text is visible, filling the full width of the window. If I click on the Restore button to reduce the window size, the text is clipped at the right border, and I must use the horizontal scroll bar to view all the text. This is the only page on the site that behaves this way. The other pages, when I click on the Restore button to reduce the window size, wrap the text so it is visible without horizontal scrolling. I have looked at the HTML code for for the pages and found no differences to account for the wrapping/nonwrapping behavior. These are all very basic pages generated by FrontPage2000; i.e. no tables, graphics (except those resulting from the FP theme), CSS, scripts, etc. The URL of the nonwrapping page is http://mormonalliance.org/Case%20Reports/Volume%201/Part%202/v1p2c15.htm All other pages of the mormonalliance.org site wrap as desired. Most pages, including the nonwrapping one, are Word97 text pasted into HTML files with FP, then edited for format and newly discovered typos. I would greatly appreciate any enlightenment or explanation of this inconsistency. Thank you very much.
