alveyuk -> Web Redirection masking and Session ID data (5/12/2002 19:30:22)
I have just started using the web host Xsession and when I have a URL redirecting to one of these pages with any type of masking I get the following error from my StoreFront pages:
Our StoreFront shopping system uses a "session ID" to manage each shoppers order. The session ID is a "non-persisitent" cookie meaning that it is never saved to your computers hard drive but is only cached in the browsers memory for twenty minutes or until the browser is closed. The session ID consists only of a short number.
Xsession wash their hands of the error claiming it is a client problem but it worked fine on my previous web host. Does anybody know what aspect or feature of the web hosting (MS - IIS) I need to try and get them to change?

Hi,
Sounds like a setup issue on the host end. I would bounce this off the Storefront news group. Also is the host on the StoreFront recomnended list. A last thing would be to point hte host o the host setup page. It goes through all the host end settings.

StoreFront email support eventually came up trumps. That page was linking into the next page with a full URL from a variable inside the storefront database so it was effectively trying to switch from the alveyuk.com domain to the alvey.biz domain and cookies are within the domain.

Glad to hear the outcome. I always sweat when I start getting cart errors. Allthough the newsgroup seems to come through for me.
