I've tried finding some info on iLayers - I think it's a Netscape deal... I've been relatively unsuccesful.

I keep finding references to it, but no real information.

I had the same problem with a .swf file and a JScript menu... I ended up removing the .swf file.

I'll be checking back, tho to see if anyone here can find anything...

You will need to use Dreamweaver (or possibly something else) if you want to use layers. FP doesn't support them.

Under Picture Properties > Style > Format > Positon

There is a setting for Z-Order

I keep seeing a reference to z-order in layer effect scripts and tutorials (some in the link provided by Bill above)

Is Z-order related to layers? If so, and if FP will support it for images, why wouldn't it support a z-order for anything else?

If this isn't a layer deal, what the heck is a Z-order? I assume it refers to the z-axis (or the 3rd dimensional axis)...

layers may be referring to a "Netscape only" tag that has been deprecated, in favor of the <div> tag.

absolutely correct. using CSS you can position elements on a page just about anywhere. the Z-order tell the browser which one would be on top if they overlap...
