Perty -> Website not printing in Netscape (5/24/2002 7:18:41)

I have just redesigned the website for where I work and was wondering why I cannot print any pages when viewing with Netscape verion 4, although it works with Internet Explorer. The URL is http://www.athertonsc.qld.gov.au

Hi Perty,
Is your question limited to the Netscape problem, or are you open for other suggestions?

Hi Perty,
I'll take no response as a yes regarding other suggestions

I looked at your site with IE 6.0, resolution at 800 X 600 and 28.8 on 56K modem.

General suggestions:
(1) Take a look at your text placement. On both the left and right sides, it runs into the end of your pages, making it look like there is more to follow.

(2) Check the size of your images. Many are extremely large and slow the loading of your pages. Don't limit the re-sizing to pictures. Your date stamp image for example, is 17,156 bytes for just a few words.

Other Problems found:
(1) Broken page link to the Atherton Business Directory page.

(2) Broken image links on the Community page http://www.athertonsc.qld.gov.au/community.htm

I hit every link and enjoyed the pictures. It seems to be a pretty area you live in.

Netscape is finicky about proper HTML; IE more forgiving. Usually a problem with printing indicates an improperly nested or unclosed table tag somewhere.
