Searching multiple fields in multiple tables - 5/24/2002 11:45:25
I don't know if this is possible.

I'd like to build a search function that will search multiple fields in multiple tables with only one search box. The two tables are Contacts and Notes.

So for example, I'd like a user to be able to type "Jones" in the search box and have it return:

(From the contacts table)
__1) Jones, Bob.....Wells Fargo
__2) Smith, Jane....Jones Landscapers

(From the Notes table)
__3) Directions to Ted's - ...turn left on Jones Avenue...

I can't join the two tables (currently) to create a view because they don't have any common fields.

Any ideas?
