Web "Sync" from two pc's - 5/26/2002 16:26:37
Hi all. I need to upload some large files to be available for download from my FP site. Since my home Pc (where I manage the site) have a slow connection, I need to upload the files from work using a different pc with fast connection (without FP installed). The only thing available is an FTP client. (CuteFTP). Can someone of us explain me the right way to avoid sync errors from home ? Thanking in advance for any help about Mario

And now for a helpful answer. MarYo, from home, open your site and create a new directory called "downloads" or something. From work, upload your large files to this directory. Back at home again, you can now create or change pages as needed, pointing to the files in your /downloads directory. If you're working locally and then publishing, FP may tell you that you're linking to a file that doesn't exist, but that's fine; once published, it'll connect if the path is correct. If you're editing live, that's not an issue. --Bri ----- #!usr/bin/girl
