dpav29 -> Why can't I get custom queries to work? (5/29/2002 13:01:02)

Normally when the client needs a new report, I take the database offline and write the new query (Access QBD grid), then I can insert DRW, etc. etc. I can't keep taking this think offline. . .tired of working nights! So. . . .(remember, I don't do SQL yet) I create a query on a backup database and then copy/paste the SQL in the DRW as a "custom query". Shoudn't this work? Is there something else I need to do to make that work. . . I've tried it several times to no avail!
