contactcp -> where is my cgi-bin (6/5/2002 14:14:41)

I am trying to install a cgi form handler and the installation manual says to put the files in the cgi-bin.

I don't seem to have any file called cgi-bin so what should i do

It "should" be either in the root or in the public_html (or something close) directory.

Nope. couldn't find it. My server is windows 2000, does this server usually accept cgi scripts.

Hi,

Cut through it all and give the host a call. If they do offer it they will need to setup the permissions unless they give you a control panel option.

Is it your server? If so, did you create a CGI-BIN?

CGI is Common Gateway Interface and can be Perl, PHP, VB, C++, etc., the server will accept and parse whatever it's been configured to.
