Wits end on this one - 10/2/2001 20:52:00
Hi to All

My problem is that I cannot upload my site via the http// method. My site has been uploaded via ftp on port 21 but of course that has posed other problems.
What happens is when I try to upload to my site using on the default port 80 it continually prompt me for my password - now I did come across this very problem at Microsoft article #Q275546 which gave 3 work arounds, none of which worked.
My host can upload my site from his end but I am unable to on 2 different computers at my end.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Gene

Are the server extensions installed on your host?

If it is the first time u upload via http don't u need to publish it to your host's server URL /location?

No I should be able to publish straight to my domain name which is on my hosts server - keeping in mind I have a full domain and not and sub domain.
In saying that we worked it out, it turns out for some reason they did not have the right permission for my access to the server, uploading no problems now.
Thanks to all for your help.
