What's the Real Size of my Website? - 6/9/2002 21:58:04
Hello again!
Many web hosts charge website owners according to the size of their site.
How do I find how big my site is?
1. The properties of the myweb folder states that it is 10.9MB in size.
2. The 'size on disk' is 34.2MB.
3. The total file size within the myweb folder is 638KB.
Which size is the one that counts?

Since the host is the one that matters, you will have to get the number from there. Many host allow you to do this through the interface that they provide. The "actual" size of the web includes all of the mail as well as the log files, so a measurement taken from your computer will be innaccurate. Web sites grow (rapidly). If it's an issue then make sure to get plenty of extra storage.

Hello Operator,
One of my sites:
- Properties Size 6.3MB
- Properties Size on Disk 24.2MB
- Server stats: 9.5MB
Go figure...
