POP3 email when away from home - 6/9/2002 22:36:23
To all,

From another post of mine:
quote:
If you have POP3 email accounts, you don't need Yahoo or Hotmail so that you can check your email when away.

Simply go to http://www.mail2web.com and pick up your POP3 email. You must have your password for your POP3 account.

Also, before traveling, if you use Outlook Express or Outlook, you should change your options to leave messages on your POP3 server until your return. Instructions are at http://www.myscacc.org/Newsletters/0111news.pdf See page 9 of this newsletter.

P.S. I'm damned proud of this MS Publisher newsletter converted to a PDF by Adobe Acrobat 4.0.

Enjoy! It's your endeavor!

I have used it for a long time and love it. I can check my e-mail when away and delete the junk before I get home. I don't think it works with AOL though. I asked a friend to try it and he told me he couldn't get in. Anyone here with AOL that can try it?

To all,

AOL is not a POP3 email server.

Besides, if you have Internet access, simply go to the AOL web site and log in.

I believe AOL uses IMAP, not POP3.

If you click on the link "Advanced Login". It gives you an option between POP3 or IMAP4
