Viewed with IE 5.5, site looked very professional. Easy to navigate and crisp with the text. Graphics looked great. The only thing I came up with was maybe the graphics on the homepage could be a tiny bit smaller.

Looks Very Very Professional

Thanks! Great suggestion. I think it would be better if the user didn't have to scroll down to see the content.

I hear ya, but you can't have everything in one view. Especially when visitors will have different monitor sizes and settings. Speaking of settings I just viewed your site in 640x480 (previous visit was in 800x600). You have a horizontal scroll bar on just about all pages. I didn't know if you knew that or not.

I know. It was designed at 800x600. I had even been tempted to put a statement on the homepage to that effect, but didn't. How detrimental is this? Isn't 800X600 the norm?

I generally design for 800 x 600 myself, though I'm finding that a lot of people go with a higher resolution. I don't personally know of anyone who uses 640 x 480, but I'm certain they're out there. One solution might be to set your table size by percentage rather than by pixels.

I really like the site - clean, crisp, consistent, easy navigation. Very nicely done.

Beautiful, very crisp, it was a very pleasant experience. To be really picky, I would darken the red bar at the bottom a bit to tone it down. I liked the popups, but would prefer to see the "close window" near bottom or bottom right so I didn't have to move my mouse so far to close it. I told you that was picky! Your site's a 10! Great work!

tjacques,

Following the instruction on the ceramics, page I fully expected to see a larger image. The original image of 315 pixels enlarged to 500 on the pop-up. However, most was white space! Be true to your viewer! Provide a larger image, or delete the link.

Same problem on the cnc-precision page.
Having found the same on small-holes page, I quit checking. However, I ran into a great one on the high-aspect-ratio page. If Owens Corning furnished the images, ask your contact for larger ones.

Now some personal preference of mine! On the applications page, I wouldn't use the list items as centered text. Left justify each line and indent an appropriate distance. The eye can catch the first three or four letters of each line for the mind to select the line with information it is looking for. I also don't like reading italicized text. Italicized text should be reserved for book names and foreign phrases and words. Occasionally for emphasis.

The image on the small-holes page executed the pop-up as expected in IE 6, but only the text below the image would cause the pop-up in NN 6.2 and Opera.

These are the only pop-ups that I condone. Specifically, those that I ask for.

Good job!

Enjoy! It's your endeavor!
