My site has been up for several months now, but I haven't had the guts to let you guys at it. I'm a learning researcher who tells other people how to design learning environments, including e-learning. The research shows that simple is better. In fact, if you add graphics, animations, or photos designed only to gain attention, learning is likely to decrease by 25 to 50% or more. Thus, I've gone for a clean, simple design.

I'd like your opinion on the overall design of my website, and also specifically on the color of my hyperlinks, which some people have complained about.

The site is--->

Thank you very much,

Hi ya Will!

Layout is nice and clean. Good Job, but I gotta tell ya, I ain't diggin the purplish colored links on the green sidebar. I'm sure you didn't want to hear that, but you asked.

I did notice that the font-weight varies from page to page, but that could be by design. Other than that I think the layout is very well done

Hi Will,
I have to agree with Swoosh as to the link color.

Looked at your site with IE 6.0, resolution at 800 X 600, 28.8 on 56K and color quality at 32 bit.

The purple links blend into the green background and also the white one.

The site loaded fast with my connection and the page transition was constant. I didn't get lost during checking the links.

Willyth,

Tough! Maybe the colors would work if more intense. Lighten the green navigation bar to #CCFFCC, then change and increase the density of the navigation links to that which is in the lower right of the logo. This color should work well for the links on white background.

Play with underscored links to show visited pages.

Enjoy! It's your endeavor!
