File Ownership - 6/18/2002 12:06:33
I've just added a Frontpage site to my Ensim Webppliance (Linux) and moved the site over for them. All the files are owned by root, and I understand that FP doesn't like that. Is there a better way to correct this than retransmitting the entire site? Can I just chown everything? What user does FP expect? Thanks for any pointers!

bp, The " move" statment prompts me to say that FrontPage expects you to Publish the site. Publish uses the HTTP protocol to ensure things get placed as FrontPage expects.

Yes you can chown all the files. You can also open the site in FP and add a user. But as Chuck said, the best solution is to publish
