Barbara -> uploading pages with shared borders (6/19/2002 20:05:57)

I thought shared borders were supposed to make life easier, make one change and lo and behold, all the pages in your site have the change. But, I have a couple of sites with quite a few pages, and shared borders with the contact info. When something in the border had to be changed, one change and it's set right? Wrong. I had to re-upload all the pages that used that border, not just the border. I'm using FP 98 on one site, and FP 2000 Lite on another at work (it came with Office 2000); and the book says shared borders don't require FP extensions, but it so happens that extensions are installed in both cases. What's the point of borders if I have to upload all the pages anyway? Sure, it does save having to open FP and edit the pages as well. Any idea if I'm doing something wrong? Barbara
