Trying for the Best: Input welcome - 7/17/2002 7:48:33
I have just created a new website for our little company and really want it to be the best [link=http://www.kidbow.com][/link].
I know that the HTML isn' t perfect yet, but it seems to come up well in NN 6.2, Opera and IE6. I don' t have room on my machine to load all versions of everything.
Any design, content or construction suggestions would be appreciated before I go and pay the big $$ for SE submissions.
Also, would you buy from this site? Does it help the inexperienced to understand the subject and feel comfortable in choosing and buying?
Thanks in advance,
Beth Vance

Hi Beth and welcome to the forums....

I have looked the site over briefly I like the clean layout and design.

Comments/suggestions -

The OK box for Adult Supervision, got a bit annoying when I went from page to page, like to a link, then back to the home page, and clicked another link - - there it was again......I hate having to click something like that...I agree that it is important to tell people that message, but I would get annoyed and leave the site (just being honest).

Another small annoyance was the home page link kinda gets lost in the pages...I finally saw it on the bottom, kind of off to the right.

Just my 2 cents -

I have to agree - the popup would cause me to leave and not return. Also, I wouldn' t like the idea of my site stats being accessible to anyone!

Nice color combination, good layout.

Beth,

I reviewed the site in IE 6, NN 6.2 & 4.76 and Opera 6. All seems to be compatible.

Rather than spending big $$ for SE, submit to the major ones for nothing. Save the big $$ for some good images of your products. If I considered paying $189 for a Martin Stick longbow, I would expect to see a quality image. One that is good enough to give me the " touchie feelie" effect.

I like white backgrounds but I think there is too much white on this site, it looks a little bare. Maybe a title graphic across the top in another color?
