underamountain -> Placing a " Header" at the top of every page (7/20/2002 7:23:21)
|
Hi, Using a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with IIS 5 on it. Using the Computer Management Console and right clicking on any of the subwebs in there and select " Properties" . Gives a bunch of options such as " Directory" , " Documents" , " Server Extensions" , etc... Under the " Documents" section there is an option to " Enable Document Footer" . This is a great feature that I use to take care of the copyright information at the bottom of every page. Here' s my question... I' d like to do the same thing with a " Header" because I want to insert a Menu system to the top of every page. Is there any way to do this? Shared Borders aren' t the answer for me because this is for an Intranet in which there are currently over 120 subwebs. By using shared borders, I' d have to insert the menu into 120 _borders/top.htm files and that' s going to be waaaay too much work to keep up with. What other options do I have to try and make this work? Any help is appreciated. Regards, Dave " and the guitar players look damaged, they' ve been outcasts all their lives"
