I'm just wondering...the website below:
http://www.lonestaractors.com/index.htm

Was developed using coldfusion I think. Do you thing FP2000 with Access databases could do the same thing?

Make sure you view entire site, especially the search piece. It will also support the upload and update of headshots.

Hi, Brad -

I'm going to move this thread to databases, where you'll get a better response.

Hi Brad,
I'm going to move this thread to Advanced where they have more moderators on at the moment

Only kidding, sure this kind of thing is perfect for ASP / FP and an Access database. Do come back and see us when you decide to go for the project and have questions.

Look forward to seeing you . . .

I appreciated your reponse to my question from the outfront forum on databases (from nytenor posted 02-15-2001 01:14 PM). I thought that web site could be done in FP, but it never hurts to ask the experts! My question for you: I want to do this as a proof of concept, but the only FP Extensions server that I have access to run on Unix, hence no ASP. Is there a cheap FP2000 extentions host company that runs on Windows Servers that you can recommend that I can open an account on? Is it easy to build and test this stuff just on your own PC? I somehow doubt it....

Thanks for all your help!

Yes it is Cold fusion and heavy on JavaScript too.

In order to your question to wether you could do it in Frontpage yes, although I would never try and present a form like that I would apply criteria over a series of pages and then post results and add links allowing people to jump back

Secondly you can use Personal Web Server to create the database driven site you are looking at in it's simplest form and you could install this on 98, , NTW and win2000, not to sure about ME.

ASP uploads are little more complex try the database research first
