I don' t get much of what SEO folks talk about, maybe my brain is simply not that " wired" . The more I read the more it seems to be a full time job. Has anyone had sucess with some of the software programs? Can anybody recommend a " for real" SEO? bobby Posts: 11394 Joined: 8/15/1969 From: Seattle WA USA Status: offline	RE: Search Engine Submission - 7/26/2002 15:55:07 Stay away from submission software, the SE' s recognize them and treat them like spam... your submission needs to come from a browser to be effective. There are only a handful of SE' s that you need to worry about, no more than 12 are widely used. Many of the big names like Yahoo now charge for a submission anyway... so unless you feel like shelling out a few hundred bucks just stick with the basics like Google, Alta Vista, etc. Submitting isn' t too time consuming... just a few minutes at each and you' ll be set. Optimizing for SE placement is a different story... that entails some specific criteria for the way you build your site. _____________________________ If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
