Here is my scenario:
I successfully insert a record to an ACCESS 97 D.B. After the insert is done, within the same ASP page, I try and select a record from a different ACCESS D.B. but I keep getting errors on the select. I have selected this file on other ASP pages using the same code without a problem.

Does something have to be set within one ASP page when multiple operations are being performed?

I assume your using straight ASP and no Front page or you have put your DB pages on the diet,

You probably have two regions on the page and have not closed the connection between the two, hence either check what you are deleting in the diet section or remember to close the session before you start a new one
