it simply opens the page instead of asking for me to login to my site like it did on old machine. Then if I make changes and try to save it wants to save locally only. Sorry I thought I put more info in that what is posted.
I had a win2k machine with FP2K and it always poped up a login box when I would go to home page and then click file and open page with MS FP. Then I would login and it would show my whole web. Now it DL' s the page and wants to save localy if I make a change it is not editing on the server. This issue started after I installed Win XP on a new machine I built and installed My FP2K . Thanks in advance X

Do you have ot have FP ext loaded on your pc to do live editing? Or just on the server that hosts page? I have tryed another machine and it works so it is somthing locally? Please Help X

When you want to live edit your web go to file - open web and type your site' s http address where it says folder name. After you edit (if it lets you) remember to publish to your hard drive.

here is the error when I input it that way.

Then the error file text is

Is it XP Home or Pro.
If it is Home, could be the problem.
