I figured I will give it 2 weeks or so and see what " shakes out" in the pundit newsletters etc. I will probably also make sure my Ghost Images are up to date before doing SP3! However if you pop over to windrivers there' s a pretty long thread going in the W2k forum about sp3 problems the bulk of which are being caused by promise ATA cards. If your running an ATA card I suggest you take a look at the thread. I have not put the SP on any of my servers yet, I' m going to wait a week or two and see what shakes out and gather some more info in the mean time. _____________________________ storm..." Rian Posts: 1960 From: Lincoln, Nebraska USA Status: offline	RE: Win 2K Service Pack 3 - 8/21/2002 11:16:35 Took the plunge and put SP3 on my main workstation over the weekend after I got a good Ghost image just in case! The jury is still out..... SP3 installed quickly with no problems..... After the installation it rebooted and all seemed fine.......Last night while browsing a site in IE 6, the whole shebang locked hard on me! Reboots hanged during various stages and it took 3 reboots to get back in. Then I decided to run CHKDSK /F and it hanged twice in CHKDSK ! I am gong to give it another week or so on my workstation to see what shakes out. Defenitely holding off on my domain controller and other workstation for now......
